Today Google has a RED ribbon in support of the world HIV \ AIDS day! World AIDS Day, observed December 1 each year, is dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection. It is common to hold memorials to honor persons who have died from HIV/AIDS on this day. Government and health officials also observe the event, often with speeches or forums on the AIDS topics. Since 1995, the President of the United States has made an official proclamation on World AIDS Day. Governments of other nations have followed suit and issued similar announcements.
St. Andrew’s Day is the feast day of Saint Andrew. It is celebrated on 30 November.
Saint Andrew is the patron saint of Scotland, and St. Andrew’s Day is Scotland’s official national day. In 2006, the Scottish Parliament designated St. Andrew’s Day as an official bank holiday.
Although most commonly associated with Scotland, Saint Andrew is also the patron saint of Greece, Romania, Russia and the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople.
This post is a sequel of ’15 things you need to learn before kick starting your new blog’ if don’t want to miss the updates do subscribe to the blog.
6. Design.
Looks are not as important as content, but it is still important to catch your reader’s eye initially. Avoid dark backgrounds, light fonts, and flashy screaming banners and buttons. Just say NO to music that isn’t permission based (meaning it plays without your visitor having to ask for it to). Your Bounce rate always depends on the blog design, so make sure your blog design is unique, if you’ve added a new theme that you found on the web, make sure you customize it to your needs.
7. Jolt it down.
Keep a notebook handy at all times (or if you prefer, a file on your computer) so you can write down blog post ideas as they come to you.
Once you start blogging, everything can be a “blogable” moment if you keep your eyes open to it. BUT always think about you blog’s theme. If your blog is completely about Tech stuff and then you write about how to cook that favorite dish doesn’t make sense to many readers. When most people visit your site they always try to read about the same stuff and not deviate from the topic they are reading. So, always concentrate on thing at a time!
8. Link.
Don’t be afraid to link out more in your posts. Link out to other bloggers as well as other sources of information on the topic you’re writing about it improves the reader’s experience. Most people visit your blog when you link them back on a topic that you read and blogged about so, link to it .
9. Write.
Great writers are prolific writers. The best way to improve your writing ability on your blog is to write more frequently… Don’t be shy! Always write about the stuff you like, this is one thing that I believe in coz I write what I love and that’s automatically increasing my traffic.
10. Read
Great writers are readers too. Find and subscribe to the important blogs in your niche as well as a few blogs about blogging itself. This can really help you to upgrade yourself with new technologies and stuff happening around the world.

Alright, I finally got access to the NEW twitter and it rocks! The UI is completely revamped & the feel itself is awesome.
I wanted to share couple of cool things that you can do on the new twitter with my friends.
First off, we all noobs know that twitter is the realtime news machine. You can find anything and everything that’s happening around the world. Today was the judgment day of the historic Ayodhya case. And twitter india was trending ‘ayodhya verdict’ on the top list since the official website was down due to traffic overload.
Now, back to the point, here is couple of cool new features of the new twitter!
>> Shortcuts
Using these shortcuts you can navigate within twitter easily.
>> No more ‘more’ click to scroll
On the old twitter you UI, you could only view certain tweets at a time but now you can simply scroll to infinity and the news keep flowing.
>> Easier @replies
With the new interface you easily and simply reply. A small Ajax popup window appears, just type the reply and hit the tweet button to post the reply.
>> Quick profile\detail view
With the new UI the twitter home page is divided into 2 places. One is the twitter stream and the other is the navigation window. The stream is the same thing, but we’re more interested in the navigational view. Here, in the navigational view we can see the profile of the twitter user, follow\unfollow, add to a list or post replies and more without navigating from the page.
Do you any other feature on twitter? share them below :)
Microsoft security essential; it’s nice, easy and light weight. Download it now!
As it was announced earlier this month the final version of Microsoft‘s antivirus package Microsoft Security Essentials is now available. The package is available in English, Dutch and also includes 18 other languages; soon we can see this in more languages. Microsoft security essentials can be installed on Windows XP with Service Pack 2 or 3, Windows Vista with Service Pack 1 or 2 (32 and 64 bit) and Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit). However, this only works on original versions of Microsoft operating systems.
Microsoft Security Essentials, previously known as Morro is the successor of Windows Live OneCare, a security paid package. Since June 23 there was an official beta version of the package, a different version already leaked out five days before. Users of this trial are of course advised to upgrade to the new version.
Compared with the beta version there is not much to see changes. After running the installation package on the background and protected against viruses, spyware and other malicious software. Bottom in the system tray there is a little icon that you can access Security Essentials. The launch window is the ability to quickly, or completely adapt to scan. Also, you can download the whole package up-to-date.
Microsoft Security Essentials is lightweight, easy to use and it keeps itself auto-updated as well. After downloading the installer (less than 10 MB), it takes less than 2 minutes and it will immediately start protecting your computer from virus attacks. When Security Essentials is scanning your computer for problems, you can still work as normal as the software has been designed to use a limited amount of system resources if a user is using the computer while a scan is in progress background.
