For over a year there was no option in Picasa Web to analyze the add auto face recognition to photos automatically, now with Picasa 3.5 directly on your desktop you can do all these automatically. After installing the new version, which currently is available only in English for download, would recognize faces in the images.

picasa The results are then presented. Click it then has a face to enter the name. If one is logged into their Google account, then the information is automatically downloaded from Google Contacts, which saves some typing.

If you have provided some pictures with names, also makes proposals. This saves a lot of time again. If you already tagged photos to Picasa Web, you can import this data with one click.

by teamgpt September 9, 2011
written by teamgpt

plaxo+openid+Blogger

Did you know that you Blogger blog is an OpenID which can be used to sign into other websites? well now you know :) … Plaxo has always been friendly with Opensocial stuff like OpenID, Auth which provides more ways to sign in to your Plaxo online account in a secure way.

Here’s how to use your Blogger URL as an OpenID to sign in to your Plaxo online account:

1. Click on Sign in using OpenID

sign in with openid

2 Enter your Blogspot URL (Eg. http://sharath-g.blogspot.com)

3. Grant permission (proving you’re the owner) by signing into your Google account

grant permission

4. Vola, you’re done. You should be signed into Plaxo :)

If you use any of the services such as Google, Flickr, Yahoo, Blogger or Myspace you already have your own OpenID. When you see bold text, you should replace it with your own username or screenname on that service… No more forgotten password problems :D … Also the same works for any valid OpenID!

Now you should be able to sign in to your Plaxo account using your blogspot URL in the future… Cool and easy eh?.. What’s on you’re mind? do you have any such simple How-to’s? send me tips and i’ll be glad to publish it!
