Google announced, just like the gmail uploader now Google docs also comes with a flash uploader, which helps you to upload your files fast!
Google released an application for Windows that lets you upload files to Google Docs by using drag and drop. The application is more like a sample for Google Docs API, but it’s pretty useful if you want to upload a lot of documents. There’s also an option to add “Send to Google Docs” to the contextual menu so you can upload files directly from Windows Explorer.
The application can be downloaded from there and it requires .NET Framework 2.0.

This feature is another addition to Google docs, just like how to upload files via email to Google docs.
Always wondered which sitemap to use? XML or HTML? Well, here is a video of Matt Cutts (head of Google webspam) answered a question about HTML and XML sitemaps and what is preferred.
If you use HTML sitemap, Google will find your pages more quickly and this maybe a useful addition for visitors too. And an XML sitemap in not that relevant for visitors but Google would surely crawl your site but this does not guarantee that all the pages are indexed by Google.. Matt shows that if you really have to choose between an HTML and an XML sitemap you can best start with an HTML sitemap, this is because its useful for both Google and for visitors to your site.

In a discussion on the Google Webmaster forum Googler John Mueller warns for the use of the noscript element. This element can be used in combination with Javascript in order to display information when the browser does not support scripting or it is disabled by the user.
John indicates that the use of the noscript tag suspect happens with search engines because the element in the past has been often abused by spammers.
- Serving a page of HTML text to search engines, while showing a page of images or Flash to users.
- Serving different content to search engines than to users.
In 2006 it was said by a representative of Google, a noscript element that links will be followed up with Google but no further value attributes will be added.
