The test version (which is approximately 139 MB) was discovered on the FTP server of Google and was quickly removed too. But by that time it had already been downloaded by many user. After installation here is what I found, there is a kind of modified version of the browser – Google Chrome, also possible to see with the logo of Chrome OS is different from the logo of the browser. Furthermore, a clock plus battery status and network status. Clicking on the logo in this case opened a Google Apps page which you should have a Google.com account to login. Google Chrome Operating System was announced by Google in July and since then there have been several occasions, screenshots being leaked subsequently found to be fake. With the leaking of this version we know how Google chrome works..

reCaptcha you’re mine, says Google

capatchas

You all know those boxes with strange looking letters that are becoming increasingly common on the website registration forms, or on Facebook Pages when you want to post an update?… Oh yeah, they’re called captchas and they’re used primarily to deter spammers and bots.

Once again, Google has expanded its empire and the online service by purchasing reCAPTCHA.The reCAPATCHA service protects against spam submission on website forms, by a non-machine-read to constitute a word and no man can enter and decipher. Thus, one can say with great certainty that the contents of the form is not spam. How do you feel about CAPATCHAs?

opera mini

Opera Software released a new fifth version of the world most popular and widespread mobile web browser – the Opera Mini 5. Introducing new features and sleek design, its beta is already available for download.

Opera Mini 5 is smoking hot with its big brother – the desktop Opera 10, which was also released about just two weeks ago, with a revamped design and improved functionality. The tabbed browsing comes to the mobile Opera version, allowing fast jumping from one page to another.

Another nice feature in Opera mini 5 is the Speed Dial, it offers a quick access to your favorite pages directly from the browser’s start page. Its also something similar to the desktop version of Google Chrome and Opera 10. And also, the Opera Mini 5 will offer you 9 page thumbs on its home screen, which you can selecte manually or it gets filled up automatically with the most frequently visited web sites.

Here are some screenshots of the Opera mini from GSM Arena

Finding friends more easy on Orkut now

by teamgpt September 9, 2017

orkut

If you’re as much of an orkut addict as I am, you probably spend a decent amount of time visiting friends’ profiles and seeing what they’re up to. While browsing, I’m often surprised to find people that I know (friends of friends), who I didn’t even realize had orkut profiles. While I often use the search feature to find specific friends I want to add, up until now, there hasn’t been an easy way to find those friends of mine I wouldn’t think to search for.

The orkut team figured our problems and made things easier on everyone by offering suggestions of people you might want to be friends with on your orkut home page. With the new orkut friend suggestions feature, Orkut uses an algorithm to automatically create a list of people on orkut who you might know, and display it right below your birthday reminders.

More info on the Orkut blog
