Both the devices pack almost the same hardware specifications but there is a bit of hardware upgrades when it comes to the latest OnePlus 3T. Let’s deep dive into the specs now and see what really has changed between OnePlus3 and OnePlus3T.

In a glimpse, we noticed few areas where there has been a bump in hardware specifications. Like the Battery has been improved and upgraded from 3000 mAh to a 3400 mAh in the OnePlus 3T, Secondary camera has been increased to 16MP from 8MP, Storage upgrade from the 64GB to the 128GB version & the Chipset has been upgraded from Snapdragon 820 to Snapdragon 821.

The upgraded Snapdragon 821 chipset seems to be more efficient in battery consumption, improved boot timing, performance & the graphic rendering capabilities seem to have improved than its predecessor snapdragon chipset 820..

The main plus for the upgraded chipset could be the compatibility with Google Daydream platform that is already available for the Google Pixel users on the Pixel devices.

So again, does it make sense to upgrade from the OnePlus 3 to the OnePlus 3T?

The answer could be discovered only on the usage one needs. Both the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T go head-on except for some minor hardware upgrades. From a pricing perspective the OnePlus 3T has been rated one point lower than the OnePlus 3. You pay what you get holds good here. For the hardware bump the price seems to be a good fit. But that doesn’t really mean that one definitely needs to upgrade the latest version of OnePlus device from the OnePlus 3.

If you an older OnePlus user like the OnePlus one or the OnePlus two, then the latest OnePlus 3T definitely seems like a good upgrade to go for.
