WordPress has yet again come out with some super cool features with WordPress 5.5 code-named “Eckstine“. Some of the awesome features are Lazy loading, sitemap, automatic updates for plugins, and themes.

Now with native support for sitemaps, wordpress sites are getting the required limelight for the content to be shared with an external plugin.

Easy auto plugin and theme updates
With WordPress now supporting auto plugin and theme updates, its super easy to keep your plugins update to fix any vulnerability issues away.
It is still possible to turn auto update OFF or ON via settings.
Upload theme or plugin zip files for update
For custom plugins installed its now super easy to just upload a newer version and have it updated auto-magically!
