For over a year, analysts thought the Apple Tablet (IPAD) would be called “iTablet”. As we all know that didn’t seem to happen with Apple and the name iPad came into existence, with lots of funny critiques around it.

A British company, X2 is now selling its product called iTablet with some components that were NOT posted with the Apple device including a Windows operating system or Linux.

X2 now called as the iTablet, has 2 models with capacitive and multitouch screen features and is of size of 10.2 or 12.1 inches with a resolution of 1,024 x 768 pixels.

It is powered by a microprocessor at 1.6 GHz Pentium M, 250-Gbyte hard drive, 1.3 megapixel webcam, stereo speakers, three USB ports and Wi-Fi connectivity, HDMI and 3G (the latter two optional).

You can get pre-install Windows operating systems like Windows7, Windows XP under the GNU / Linux distribution.

Although iTablet beats iPad in all apple aspects, it lacks the compact and sleek nature of the iPad.
The iTablet weighs about 1.18 pounds and is three times thicker than the iPad which together with its hardware penalized autonomy.

This certainly is in the list of competitors for the iPad and the future models of tablet PC’s from HP, ASUS or MSI that will come in the upcoming months.
