Google released a basic application for Windows that lets you upload files to Google Docs by using drag and drop. The application is more like a sample of what you can do with a Google Docs API, but it’s pretty useful if you want to upload a lot of documents. There’s also an option to add “Send to Google Docs” to the contextual menu so you can upload files directly from Windows desktop.
Here is how to upload documents from your desktop to Google docs using Doc uploader.
1. Download the application from http://google-gdata.googlecode.com/files/DocListUploader-1.0.exe and install it.
2. Once installed you can easily drag and drop the documents and upload it to your Google docs account.
3. You can also just right click on the documents from the desktop and send to Google docs.
Also, there is another way to upload more files at once is to send them to the email address displayed on this page, but this only works with documents and presentations and there are some restrictions regarding the size of the uploaded files.
