For over a year there was no option in Picasa Web to analyze the add auto face recognition to photos automatically, now with Picasa 3.5 directly on your desktop you can do all these automatically. After installing the new version, which currently is available only in English for download, would recognize faces in the images.
The results are then presented. Click it then has a face to enter the name. If one is logged into their Google account, then the information is automatically downloaded from Google Contacts, which saves some typing.
If you have provided some pictures with names, also makes proposals. This saves a lot of time again. If you already tagged photos to Picasa Web, you can import this data with one click.
There were also improvements in geotagging. From now on you can directly add geotagging in Picasa. You no longer have to use Google Earth, but can directly use Google Maps. Images can also be arranged via drag’n’drop.
