Some time back, Google published Flu trends for the US. Now, Google published flu trends for Australia also. On google.org / flutrends next to the U.S are Mexico, Australia and New Zealand. Since both countries are located in the southern hemisphere winter is there currently.
As in the U.S. data come from the search logic. Influenza is currently more active in the southern hemisphere, where flu season typically spans from May to September, the southern autumn and winter months.
