Two months ago with Google Earth 5.0 published Google Oceans and Mars data through the browser. Now, we know that the next version of Google Earth, is going to bring the sun another part of our solar system on the personal computer.
When Google Earth 5.1 would be published is not known . But, some screenshots of Google sun is exclusively available. Google Sun, as the feature is, is on the menu, where you can already switch between Earth, Mars and Sky.
Google Sun has quite similar features such as Google Earth: A sliding controller can be back in time and travel for example, the sunspots of 1992 displayed. As in Google Earth and Mars, many data is from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA shortly).
When you zoom into the sun, the surface is displayed in 3D. Sun will also display be solar storms, or the magnetic field that is constantly changing is displayed.
