Geek – What does that mean?
The word geek is a slang term, noting individual as “a peculiar or otherwise odd person, especially one who is perceived to be overly obsessed with one or more things including those of intellectuality, electronics etc….
I had to write this :D …. It’s really fascinating to just read about it… Similarly, the site geeks.com too lists 29 reasons that explain why geeks are sexy, smart and why I want to be a Geek… Here are top 10 from the same…. go on, read it:
- Geeks win every science fair: What 6th grade Geek can’t build a semi-nuclear conductor?
- Geeks are technically proficient: What isn’t sexy about being able to defrag a hard drive or install RAM?
- Geeks are well-behaved: Can you sit in front of a computer for hours? (Most of the time par-taking in harmless activity)
- Geeks are better than blockbuster: We can get you the latest movies on DVD. (And we only have to break 13 copyright laws)
- Geeks are handymen: Who do you think can fix those pesky, frustrating machines called computers better than anyone else?
- Geeks are innovative: The iPhone, laptops, iPods, HDTV, PS3, are just the tip of the iceberg of what we are capable of.
- Geeks Have Job Security: Who do you think the FBI and NSA turn to when they need help with Internet security?
- Geeks have fun hobbies: Who doesn’t like to play Halo 3 all day?
- Geeks make good money: Especially if you work for Google, Microsoft or…, it’s a long list.
- Geeks are diverse: Comic books, PC games, C++ programming OH MY!!
