According to an eye-tracking study by OneUpWeb, users of the Google search engine ignore the results in real time from Google.
The study consisted of 44 people divided into two groups: those seeking information and those who wanted to buy a product. 73% of the volunteers had never heard of the results in real time. The study aimed to answer three main questions:
- The average user of the browser, you recognize and understand the results in real time
- Consumers, “use the results in real time
- What do the consumers of such results
The results:
- Only 25% of consumers used and viewed the results in real time, compared with 47% of those seeking information.
- Most participants were indifferent to the results in real time.
From the graph, users only take into account the window of real-time results of Twitter. Maybe better if Google place it higher on the page, but I think the results would be similar. The fact that there is not much importance given to these results could indicate that you the profile is ranked low or Google is aware of the devaluation of the quality of the results due to real-time search results.
